“When there’s a tilt in the road, these guys will know it.”

Mobileye is already working on the next evolution DAS technology – the autonomous driving – and is planning to launch, in the 2016 time frame and with two partner OEMs, the first hands-free capable driving at highway speeds and in congested traffic situations. The technology is enabled by a number of forward-facing cameras and a number of low-cost radars for redundancy. The feature set is also part of pre-development programs with 6 OEMs – programs that are likely to turn into serial production programs for 2018 time frame. A number of our Tier-1 partners are also designing the special configuration of forward-facing cameras based on our reference design in the anticipation of new programs with such a feature set. The next two leaps, which Mobileye anticipates to occur in the 2018 time frame is the inclusion of country roads and city traffic – capabilities that require some minor additional sensing hardware and major algorithmic leaps (which Mobileye is working on).

Mobileye’s after-market subsidiary manufactures and delivers complete systems to the consumer market with a worldwide distribution channels. Its products are already installed by large fleet companies around the world and are accepted by many insurance companies.

Mobileye has the world’s largest machine vision development center in Israel and offices in the United States, China, Germany and Japan.
